This is my first trip that is being documented here on the new forum. This trip is going to be longer than my normal winter trips. I leave on February 1st to go to the All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo and I will return on February 20th. Normally this trip is about 12 days but I am planning on doing some extreme Tosai hunting and am planning on seeing some new breeders.
I spend the first four days in Tokyo as I am arriving one day early for the AJKS. Sunday, after the show, I will be heading for Hiroshima where I will spend six full days looking for Koi. Then it is on to Ojiya for four days, where I am hoping to be able to present a few surprises, and then my final three days will be spent at INC in Isawa.
If there is anything you are hoping to get, or want to see, please feel free to post on this thread.
I am looking forward to this trip.

I do arrive in Hiroshima on the 5th of February and the Momotaro auction is on the 7th. I am not sure I am going yet, I did go last year and get 6 great Koi, but if you are at all interested in having me bid on something I will go for sure. I will update this thread, as the time draws near, with the link to the auction Koi.

I was fortunate enough to have acquired one of the 6 Momotaro auction koi. She was a big step up from my other fish in quality at the time. Looks like she is pulling away further in quality after one season and the winter resting period.

I'll be looking for a few more this spring. The yamabuki has already been brought up with the possible group buy post. Then I'd also like a kujaku and possibly a shusui. All tosai to hopefully keep price reasonable.
I can't wait to follow your trip! Good luck tosai hunting!

I'd be interested in a couple of yamabuki or kigoi. The kids want a 'yellow' fish in the new pond. Anything else, I can't go more than 1 or 2 more, would be a bonus and am trying to push myself on skin quality more than type though another SU might be nice.
I've enjoyed all the trips photos you've shared over the last few years. Looking forward to this trip, wherever you post the updates.
