Something else that is missing is that joy of going to a harvest and having a lot of people standing there watching and enjoying the moment. We were asked if we wanted to go to the Torazo Ikeage of Yonsai Koi and got up early and went. It was very unusual attending but a hopeful sign for things to come.

It did not take long to get the seine net around the pond and pulled in. This pond contained 17 4 year olds. Aside from the four from Torazo Koi farm there was my team and a videographer from Europe. Seven people total.

Today I found some interesting Koi that I purchased. The breeder will remain nameless at this point as I think I will be the only one in the US with this type of Koi at least for this year. There isn't an official name for this type of Koi, that I know of, but the parents are Chagoi and Shusui. I am calling them Cha-Sui.

Having a "team" with me is really slowing me down. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing all the breeders we are seeing and eating out every night, but it doesn't leave much time for messaging people and posting where we have gone.A lot of the breeders we are visiting aren't on my list but it is nice to compare what is out there.

Years ago I stopped going to Kanno Koi Farm for Goshiki as so many other breeders have been doing Goshiki. I am not going to have time to visit Minuma on this trip as it is a shorter trip than usual. I decided to go to Kanno and was very happy I did.
