Ojiya/Hiroshima/Isawa Bound PSKoi - Fall 2022

It has been 3 years since I have been to Japan in October-November. I am not really sure what to expect but I thought I would give it a try as Japan is now fully open to travel without a Visa and tracking devices. It is a shorter trip, than in the past, but I am hoping it will be good.
I leave in two weeks, on October 19th, and will come home on November 5th. I have been getting requests and, if you have any, let me know and I will see what I can find. I am trying to stay away from getting large Koi, unless they stay Azukari, as my new building is still not complete.

Yes, I have almost figured it out, but I don't really like to announce it ahead of time as, in the past, it was a guide for other dealers.

I am sorry I have not posted much but I haven't really found much to post yet. I am here to buy Koi but I am also here helping a friend get around and buy Koi for his business as well. Things have changed a bit here and it seems a bit harder to find Koi while actually being here in October. At least the type I am looking for. Quite a few breeders are doing a lottery system after harvests as so many dealers are lining up to buy. I don't want to participate in that system.

I have been to many more breeders than I normally visit on my October trips and have been to some breeders I don't normally see but this is because of RNR Koi and what they are looking for.

Our first day here we went to Yagenji, Torazo and Hosokai. When we arrived at Torazo it was timed for the arrival of a Nisai harvest. Once the Koi were sorted we found out that there was going to be a lottery for picking the Koi and I just don't like participating in something like that so we left and came back when it was over. I was able to pick up four Showa and a Kohaku. The Showa had been sedated so I did not get videos but I was able to get a video of the Kohaku.

We ended the first day with a trip to Hosokai where I was able to pick up a few more Showa.

Next we went to Miyatora, Koda and Hiroi. I have never been to Miyatora so I was curious to visit but there were quite a few dealers there so I stayed outside while JR went in.
