I almost forgot. Omosako had a lottery sale on some Koi this last few days. I was able to secure this one for a customer. I think this was the #1 in the group of Nisai.

Re: Ojiya/Isawa/Hiroshima Bound PSKoi Spring 2023
It has been rainy and overcast for a couple of days and I had a trip planned to see Teradomari. He is on the West coast of Japan, 10-12 miles South of Niigata, and when it is sunny I like to take the coast road.
My GPS options for getting there does not show the road J took but it gives you an idea of where Teradomari is.

It turned out to be a nice, warm, sunny day so I stopped a few times to enjoy the sights and the smell of the ocean.

There is some really beautiful coast line. A little bit like the Oregon coast here.

Re: Ojiya/Isawa/Hiroshima Bound PSKoi Spring 2023
It was such a nice day I almost forgot why I was there. I was there to visit the King of GR, Kiichi Hoshino, from Teradomari Koi Farm. I wasn't sure what there would be as I usually don't visit this late in the season. I normally go during the Fall harvest and on my January trip. There was a scheduling conflict last January so I did not make it.
I did not get many pcs. but they are very nice. All GR Kohaku with the exception of a single GR Showa.

Re: Ojiya/Isawa/Hiroshima Bound PSKoi Spring 2023
Today was my last day looking for Koi even though I don't leave for a couple more days. It's time to stop. It has been a great trip and it continued today.
I went to Murata and to Torazo. At Murata Koi farm I was offered Kohaku Tosai from a pond that was ready to go out to a mud pond. Murata san literally said that after I pick, everything else will go to the mud for the summer. These are not from his top grade but they are very nice. Some of the best I have been offered in this size.

I just realized I had a group video of each class of Tosai I purchased from Maruyama and I never uploaded them. Just finished doing it.

Re: Ojiya/Isawa/Hiroshima Bound PSKoi Spring 2023
If you remember, at the beginning of the trip, I screwed up my travel dates and missed two appointments. My appointment with Maruyama was supposed to be at 9am on the 12th and I left Nagaoka at 9am on the 12th. I was four hours late to this appointment. Maruyama was notified the day before but I still felt bad so I didn't take the time to do individual videos of the Tosai and I just forgot about these videos.
