Doitsu Sanke and Showa update

I've been MIA for a long time. One thing I missed the most is tosai update threads. I rarely buy tosai, these two were purchased from Russ's winter 2018 trip. The sanke is 15.5" and showa, 16.5". These are sansai but the slow growth isn't necessarily genetic but rather I think had to do with the pond trouble I had last year. Slow growth has its advantages as I think the quality of the koi held up quite well. I will post the tosai photos first, I think they were around 6" when purchased.

Sharp looking doitsu. The skin really glows. Beni and sumi still have the same intensity two years after.

Besides the obvious good skin, color and pattern, his fish has nice conformation especially for doitsu.

The sumi improved on both koi. Sumi spot appeared out of nowhere on shiroji on the sanke. Showa sumi tighten up with the facial sumi starting to form.
