It is time for some updates. While I was in Japan I noticed, on Facebook, that some of the rock work was going in.

Then I was sent some other pictures. This one shows some of the biological filtration that has been installed. Notice that a little block wall was added to raise the end wall of the filter pit.

The last pictures show the deck, and covering, that was built over the filter pit. It looks great.

Russ, i'm curious about the other filtration. Is it hooked into the rdf or is it a totally separate system?
Re: Indianapolis, IN Pond Build with a Blue Eco RDF #2 (Geist Reservoir)
The pump takes a suction on the RDF and discharges to the vats (old cyclone type units) which the owner has filled with kaldness. From the vats, the water gravity flows back to the pond. Eventually, he will be adding a waterfall on the far side of the pond, I forget how he was going to feed the waterfall, but I think the plan was to take a suction on the last vat.

That would be dangerous. There is a separate 3" line that I put through the concrete wall that will feed the waterfall. The original plan was to T off of the line just after the pump.
