Day 5
I almost got everything completed but I did run out of time. I did get the rebar and forms set, to the finished height, for the Lithaqua chamber and the RDF pit. The areas I did not get to complete were the short side sections of the pond and the back of the filter pit. I also was not able to finish the last 7" of height on the front short wall of the pond. This is where the skimmer goes. In this first picture you will see the short back wall of the pond is 7" lower than the Lithaqua chamber and the RDF pit but the long side walls of the pond are complete. All in all it was a very productive 5 days.

These pictures show the RDF pit from both sides and, in one of the pictures, you can see the 3" waste line for the Blue Eco RDF.

It was pretty dark when I stopped working to take these pictures but this gives you an idea of what has been done.

Day 6
Today I finished the tops of the forms, I had to replace some of the boards as well, and put on my home made form ties.

The last time I was here we discovered that the wrong skimmer was sent. the correct one was here so that got installed as well. It is a gravity flow skimmer.

I added some 2 x 4 kickers to the bottom of the inside forms to help hold them in place and now I just need to set up the pour.

Day 7
I thought we were scheduled for an 8 am pour but it seems, in Costa Mesa, 8 am is code for 9:30am. When I booked it they said 8 am is fine. When I called to see if they were coming they said that it was scheduled for 9:30am.

Once the concrete came the pour went without any issues, the forms didn't even creek. I decided to ask the finishers how they wanted to proceed and they said they wanted to fill up the walls first and then do the floors. We poured the first 10 yards in without stopping, except to move the hose, and we got the walls filled up to about 4' right away.
