Fresno Pond Build with a Red Label Twist!
This pond is also going to be known as the "mini Corser". The inside dimensions were going to be 12' x 20' x 6' which would have given it about 10,800 gallons of water. The company that did the excavation did not do what I asked and the dig is a slight parallelogram and they dug 6" shy of the depth I asked for. With all of this the new inside dimensions are going to be about 10'8" x 19' by 6' deep and should result in 9,200 gallons. It is going to have three Rhino aerated 4" drains, 2 - 4" skimmer, a Red Label RDF, the large set of SS showers from Mike Snaden filled with Bakki media and an autofill. I drove most of the material down yesterday and began the set up process and spent some time figuring out what the new form dimensions would be so today was really my first full day of work on site.

With all of the extra digging and leveling of the floor to the pond we were still able to get up about 60% of the exterior forms.

The red marks are where the bottom drains are going.

Back in the bamboo jungle is where the RDF is going.

We got a late start today. Not only did I forget my work socks, I forgot the spade bit for the jack hammer and locked my keys in the truck. We did get all three drains and airlines set though.

Made up the two 4" skimmers for the pond today. Did I say it is 100 degrees in Fresno and next week it will be 107? I am lucky to be getting anything done.

Made some more headway on the trench to the filter area. It is about 20 lineal feet through bamboo and other tree roots. The bamboo has been providing quite a bit of shade while we are working.

Re: Fresno Pond Build with a Red Label Twist!
All of the rough plumbing, under the pond, is now in as we got both skimmers set. Also got several more form panels up. I am hoping to close up the perimeter tomorrow.
