Oyama is Showa or something else?

I have one dark and one lightly patterned SU from Omosako. How much of pattern development is chance? I don't even see any sumi in the one you chose.

I sexed them both male and the Showa is slightly longer than the tancho, 25 & 27” . My male Omosako SU is a year younger and slightly bigger so they have grown a little slower in my care but have remained pond favorites. It is a 32” bowl that is slightly flared at the bottom.
