Koi-Bito Forum

KoiShack Forum

Nishikigoi International Forum

Koi Club Information
There are several local Koi Clubs that we can recommend:

10:00am - 4:00pm

(rain or shine)

featuring

Burt Ballou, AKCA Judge

and

Maruyama Koi Farm Kohaku Jumbo Tosai

We will be receiving a shipment of Jumbo Kohaku tatashita from Maruyama Koi Farm on February 17th. The Koi will be quarantined and heated and will be ready to purchase in time for our annual retail store event on Saturday, March 25th.

Schedule of Events

10:30am - Growing Contest

for participants of last year's show that purchased TORAZO GOSANKE

Torazo Kohaku

Due to the limited space from the recent flooding of our Koi Yard, we have consulted with Burt Ballou and determined that contest participants may bring in a recent picture of their Torazo Koi.  Entrants must register via online email at peters@pskoi.com or via phone at 925.313.9351 and receive confirmation in order to participate.   There is no fee charged to entrants.  Current picture must show and accurate means of showing the size of the fish in inches (measuring tape...).  The fish will be judged by Burt Ballou on growth, quality and improvement.  The winner will receive a cash award equal to the amount of the original purchase price of their Torazo Koi.  This contest will continue at next year's show with any Maruyama Kohaku Jumbo Tosai.

12:00pm - Lunch

provided by PSKoi

1:00pm - Lecture

Burt Ballou, Nishikigoi Authority and Associated Koi Clubs of America (AKCA) judge, will educate us on the Maruyama Koi Farm blood line.

3:00pm - Raffle

Raffle tickets will be sold for $10.00 each.  The winner of the drawing will be awarded a Maruyama Kohaku Jumbo Tosai.  A picture of the fish will be posted here at the beginning of March.  We will list the statistics and retail value of the fish.  There will be a link for purchasing raffle tickets online.
