Okay- I was interested since my Minuma look to be right in line with the overall length of the two nisai above (assuming 4-6 inches growth next year!)- both of which are pretty awesome!

We went to a different greenhouse where he had some smaller Nisai as I was hoping to find something for a customer and then something I could purchase. He put three Koi in a tub and said they were all female. For some reason, looking at them, I had my doubts but I figured he knew best.

Just as I finished taking pictures he started to check the Koi. He sedated them so he could check the fins and vents without hurting the Koi. When he was done he said, "sorry all male." It was nice to see such beautiful males but it isn't what I was looking for.

We moved to another tank and in about 15 minutes there were four Goshiki in a tub. I removed one I didn't like and bought the three that were left.

We talked about a lot of things but, at this point, it is 2am and I just don't remember much. I think he said his Goshiki will get to 75cm on the whole with some getting larger. 30" isn't bad. BTW, the two Goshiki you speak of are being considered by someone in Indiana.

whoa. why is the beni on his goshiki two toned on each scale? it doesn't appear to be hoshi
its stunning.
