Fish feeding one another?

Postby Jojoartie » June 19th, 2017, 7:59 pm

Just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this with their herd...
I have one fish that you could say is the middle child of the herd (to be exact, a sansai). Some are younger than this one, some are older. When they feed, this one fish will poke at other fish until one turns to it and feeds it. Like a mother bird feeding a baby. Most of the fish that respond are either about the same age or older. Is this some kind of natural fish behavior? Havent gooled it yet. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their herd. Doesnt feed like this all the time but it does happen often enough to take notice.
