a Tosai from the last spring trip

Postby KurtG » January 20th, 2017, 9:38 am

I was doing a water change today (temp 44.4F; incoming 57.5F) and snapped a couple shots with the phone under the cover. This was kobayashi tosai #72 from last year's spring trip.
Dont pay attention to my $50 ebay kohaku, it did not turn out well.

I hope future pics well continue as time goes on with this one.
Your kohaku doesn't look that bad with everything considered?

It look's like one of those that takes a long time to finish but when it does is going to be very nice I like your pick.
At some point common sense must prevail.

Holy Sumi Batman! beautiful!!! And really nice body line too. That's a nice fish and you've obviously been treating her well.

I thought it was a 'he'. I don't have many seasons on this one but it goes very dark when cold to nearly tancho kohaku when warm which has kept me really intrigued. It was a near leftover I picked up to justify shipping and really have enjoyed watching this one.
