I am in the process of finishing up for now as the Red Label equipment isn't here yet. Knowing this I set it up so that I could install the old pond equipment for the time being. The owner is cycling two biological filters on her temporary tanks and will transfer them, along with the fish, once they have cycled. This gives the stone mason's some time to finish the pond without dropping mortar, or stone, into the water with Koi in it. I set up the pump to pull off of the center drain and it will go back to the pond via the 3" pipe for the shower. The setup is a 3" line from the center bottom drain to an Ulitma II 20,000 then to a 240 watt UV light and back to the pond via the 3" line.

I set up the 4" lines for the RDF the best I could and may have to make some changes later. I installed two 4" ball valves with different handles on the skimmer lines so there is no confusion later on.

Today was back fill day and I will feely admit I was the one holding the hose to add water as they were building lifts to compact the dirt. It turns out that the soil excavated, after the old pond was removed, was just enough. It is beginning to look like a pond and the owner is thrilled.

I sealed around all of the pipe intrusions, the skimmers and the bottom drains. I also fitted the aeration domes on the bottom drains. Tomorrow is paint day.

Another amazing build, thanks Russ!

Question: Does the valve for the autofill get buried? Or is there a way to service that other than digging it up?

Yes, the valve does get buried, and it is accessed through this Christie Box.
