My understanding of Nezu Goshiki is that they tend to look almost more Asagi-like which is decidedly where her coloring was headed. Nezu Goshiki also tend to have a lovely metallic sheen in their beni. This final pic was her at maturity and 8yo. You can see the darkness receded to a more mellow colo...

Surprisingly, she got quite dark for a period and I began to worry that perhaps her beni would not hold up to all the sumi emerging.

This is another year later.

What I have noticed is that Goshiki often go through a significant color change from their nisai to sansai/gosai years. After gosai, the color stabilizes and you begin to see what the mature coloring will look like.

Here she is just a few months later.
