One of the more useful terms is is the translucence of pink beni. My first year in the hobby I was fortunate to hear am American judge of Japanese descent describe it. He said to look for beni that looks like a stained glass window.

All different beni tones can be higher or lower quality.

It has the translucence of what I am used to seeing on Pink beni so I think so.

I don't know if this will help folks or not but there is a Pink Beni kid is this group. It's from last year at this time and yes, it's sold. ;)

That is a shame she lost him. To have moved all her koi up there and lose them her first winter must have been tough. Some lessons have to be learned from experience instead of warnings from others.

I'm not privy to any lengthy discussions about her. I think you may be right on the time frame but only the koi knows for sure.
