Re: Taniguchi Tosai 4-23-19

That is exciting on the little INC Sanke! The price was wickedly good and I'm glad you took it on and it's paying off for you. Great news!
Looking forward to seeing them. :-BD

Re: Taniguchi Tosai 4-23-19

Ah, congrats!! Nothing on this koi leads me to think that the tail is weak. You've been keeping koi long enough to know how and when you feed can make or break koi though. Having seen your koi, I don't think it will be an issue. I'm serious about updates, please. I was just texting with a friend who...

Re: Taniguchi Tosai 4-23-19

Yes, #5 is Pink Beni, and Kevin got it right that it is in the right color tone. The translucent quality that INC displays is not what makes it Pink Beni. It is just an added plus that was developed into Pink Beni from INC. The color spectrum for Pink Beni goes from pink to purple and you can have,...

Re: Taniguchi Tosai 4-23-19

I really don't know. I find it far more difficult to clearly identify in breeders other than INC. It could be the variant that Taniguchi is producing that is close but I don't know for sure. For reference, I bought this one on a trip to Japan. You'll see that at tosai there seemed to be a Beni diffe...

Yep, and the beni is gorgeous.
The one that is fascinating me the most is Sanke 5 though 11 was next. In years gone by I would have just bought them both but those days are gone, lol.

Re: Taniguchi Tosai 4-23-19

I have long adored Taniguchi Sanke and there are a few that make me wish I was still a hobbyist.
What is flooring me is the quality of the Showa, the GinRin and that Goshiki.

What a fun thread to look through. =P~

Re: Ojiya/Hiroshima/Isawa Bound PSKoi Spring 2019

I had to laugh, I can tell I'm getting tired when I start making typo's. Peek or peak? With that quality, peak isn't far off base. Kurt, I just took the time to look through that update thread. Well done on those selections! They're doing so well in your care! I love updates and could spend hours lo...

Re: Ojiya/Hiroshima/Isawa Bound PSKoi Spring 2019

Just a heads up for those of you Facebook members, Russ has some previews from Taniguchi.
There's an amazing Goshiki, already been sold, but is worth taking a peak at.
